A twitter user @drteepie shared a thread with photos and videos of an accident that happened this weekend along the Shagamu interchange on Lagos – Ibadan Expressway.
According to him, ‘I witnessed, unfortunately, an accident involving two commuter buses. One from Akure (the most hit). It’s really terrible sight.
I had to get off as part of first responders to assist. I’m mostly impressed and grateful for senior boss, Shina Peller who also stopped to help. In fact, he got almost everyone in one of his cars to the hospital. He helped massively’.

The bus caught fire instantly and the entire passengers were injured especially kids and women who were mostly affected. It was such a graphic scene, I couldn't take so much pics as I was busy carrying people away to safety & treatment pic.twitter.com/1Ibkx1V5uw

We were able to call @FRSCNigeria they came from Shagamu and that's just after we were able to get some away to the hospital. To the biggest surprise of everyone, the EMERGENCY bus from FRSC got there and said they don't have petrol to leave the scene pic.twitter.com/4B8sjFGFkB

Big thanks to many Nigerians who stopped by to help. I'm mostly impressed and grateful for senior boss, @ShinaPeller who also was stopped to help. In fact, he got almost everyone in one of his cars to the hospital. He helped massively.

This was him siphoning petrol out of a commercial bus so @FRSCNigeria can get petrol to take the most injured while some of us were giving first aid. Thank you bro @ShinaPeller. You helped save many lives man. God bless. pic.twitter.com/Ztut2RdIQn

@FRSCNigeria for whatever reason your people left their office to come to an accident scene, responding to an emergency call and coming without petrol in the ambulance is total incompetence & unprofessional. Please look into this. It's well.

@Shinapeller relentless effort helped a lot of injured people at the scene. Shina Peller's car was used to transport most of the injured victim to the hospital and he also drew-off petrol out of a commercial bus so @FRSCNigeria can get petrol. pic.twitter.com/jO2beVUiAq
