DJ Mox and SpekkTrumn team up for the #Moxtapes
The media team-up for a cultural revolution. Harare, Zimbabwe: Star FM radio personality DJ Mox a.k.a The Moxinator and Zim Hip-Hop blogger/podcaster SpekkTrumn have teamed to revolutionize the mixtape culture in the form of the Moxtapes. Both heavyweights in their respective fields the two, having a mutual love for Zimbabwean Hip-Hop aim to shine the light on talent that may be failing to get the exposure it needs through conventional avenues.
“The Moxtapes will be an ongoing series to reinvent the mixtape culture in Zimbabwe tro showcase the best upcoming artists in the Zim Hip-Hop genre. Whoever thinks that they have better music are welcome to submit their tracks to us. This cuts across all age groups, even up to high school level. On the first volume Nial Ainca appears as the queen of High School Hip-Hop and the door is open for contenders but they need to show and prove, less talk, more music”, said SpekkTrumn of the new mixtape series.
The first volume features original music by GoldFurnace, Donne, Trizzle, W. Hill$, MVPANI and Nial Ainca.
